Can my cats be bad?

My 2000 has 185k miles on it, and it runs great. Doesn't seem to have any real loss of power, however I think it could sound better. I have a Magnapack on it (14") with a 3" tip and it sounds good, but not perfect. It also has a S&B intake on it. Like I said it runs great however I wonder if it could run better. Could 185k miles plug up my cats pretty good? What do I do to go about fixing this problem. Can I have an exhaust shop make up new downpiping and delete two of the four cats with some high flow magnaflows?

Any input or personal opinions welcomed.

Unless your exhaust really smells rich of gas and carbon with a warm engine there really isnt a necessary reason to replace them, but at 185k miles changing all 4 O2 sensors out wouldn't be a bad idea, and changing to hi-flow cats while your down there would be convenient.

Cut off all 3 cats and replace with 2 94106's. I can't believe how amazing they sound
