Installing my own exhaust...

I know it would get done faster, but cost a bit more to just have someone install my exhaust. But when i see an opportunity to save a few $$s I will...^^cheapstake^^!!! I have never done any exhaust work, but i'm a quick learn and have lots of free time on weekends.

Plan
Install true dual with Dyno Bullets.
-X
-Pipes
-Bullets
-Pipes
-Tips

I have access to a pipe bender, so i will do all the pipe bending...learning a new skill YAY

See picture below for non-scaled blueprints.

Supplies
1 - "X" Pipe 2.5"
3 - 4' straight pipe 2.5"
2 - 7.5' straight pipe 2.5"
2 - 3" Tips
2 - 12" Dyno Bullets
2 - U-bolts
2 - Universal Exhaust Hangers (connects to U-bolts)
12 - Butt-Joint Band Clamps
24- Budweiser

Questions
1. Do i want the X pipe as far forward as possible? does it even matter?
2. Where should I place the mufflers? currently I am going to put them where the stock muffler was. Not sure if putting them further back or forward effects the sound output greatly.

So if you see any flaws in my plan let me know or pointers. All advise will be taken into consideration.

Looks good man. I would change the 3" tip to a 3."5 or 4". How are you going to exit it?

Put the mufflers as far back as possible. It reduces the dreaded drone.

The case of Budweiser is the most important part. lol. Looks like you're going to have fun. As long as you have access to that bender, it'll be easy. I agree with mig, put the bullets farther back to reduce the drone and put the x as far forward as possible.

What do the larger tips do, increase sound output?

The exit is still up for grabs, my broke *** exhaust now had 45s out behind the rear tires, I like that look. But straight out has crossed the mind a couple times. I don't know if one method is harder to install than the other, but i don't like tips that aren't level. My OCD will kick in and make them perfectly symmetrical.

It's key to any good install.

I don't think it increases sound output but it does make it sound deeper and it looks good. I like the 45d look too over straight out. Whenever I do duals, I am going to 45 the driver side in front of the rear tire to match the way mine exits right now on the passenger side.

Larger tip will have a deeper sound to it.
