94106's: My Feedback/Experience
I would do the hi flows first... trust me. Those are gonna give you a 40-50% sound increase. See how you like it. If it still needs to be louder, then do the magnapack. He said on top of the hi flows, it was another 40% sound gain. That's huge man. I am gonna run these for quite some time, then maybe a borla swap sometime.
Yeah your right.. I probably do them first might as well just leave it on there and see what its like with the 14inch and some high flows, Looks like Ill go ahead and order them up.. I said I would order them after hearing what you had to say about them so looks like its a go then!
How did they do on mounting the o2s, they do it without issues behind the cats?

Mounting the O2's is simple. All the shop has to do is put an O2 bung either in the outlet of the Magnaflow cat or in the pipe behind the pipe. As long as the sensors are not mounted in the body of the converter or ahead of the converter you won't have any issues.
God I hate California laws. Now that my truck is 5 years old I have to go to inspection every 2 years. I want High Flows so bad but its illegal. My only legal option to get louder is to get JBA shorty headers but they are expensivvvvve. Maybe I'll just have to go back to flowmaster and put on the Super 10 series. I love the Roush but I want it louder.
The only way to do it legally would be to get a shop to sign off that my cats are defective (which wouldn't be hard to do). But the new cats must be direct replacements, and since I have 4 cats I must use 4 aftermarket cats too. Magnaflow does make them for the 2004 F150, #47176 and 47206 front and rear cats, but the best prices I found would bring me to $550 just for the 4 cats. Add on shipping and installation I'm looking at $700 for high flow cats....bleh.
I saw the guy in the shop come into the office where I was sitting. He cut the inlets and outlets off the cat. I saw it is his hand when he was talking to his dad (the owner). I think he did it so he could weld in the bungs as close as he could and weld the pipes very close so I wouldn't have issues. I'm gonna take a look tomorrow. I just can't stop loving it, it sounds soooo nice.
