I have 14 inch magnaflow now, I really like it, you can hear it of course but Im really thinkin of replacing it with something louder in deepness and aggression. I always hear people knock flowmaster but to me they have the best sound on just about everything, I really like the chambered sound they produce .. trying to figure out what I should try that would be louder than this Maggie maybe a Super44 3inch SI/SO?
I like the Flowmaster better, a lot better. But I have always liked the chambered sound. Does that make me a little bit redneck, ? Flowmaster is louder throughout from what I've heard and what other people have heard. The MBRP was deeper. But I recommend putting on hi flow cats first to see if that is the sound you want. Yours would be louder than my MBRP because your muffler is shorter than the MBRP muffler.

I bought my MBRP catback in February of last year. Wasn't happy with the loudness so I put on Magnaflow 94106 cats. Much improved but still too quiet. Especially after it warmed up. At warm idle it was barely noticeable. Ran the MBRP with hi flows for about a month and a half so that I could really get a good feel of the sound. Then I put on the Flowmaster. Been happy ever since. I'lve made several 150+ mile trips and been all through the RPMs and it is what I wanted. The drone isn't even bad at cruise.

Flowmaster is alright. Just not my favored sound. They sound cheap on modular engines, only pushrods can get a fair tone out of them to compensate for the pulses from the cam. Even I recommend their products, especially since they recently released stainless. But packed straight through mufflers sound better, clearer, and retain their tone in high rpm imo.
