Needing a new cat or cat-delete

Hello y'all. I'm trying to find either a replacement cat or a delete for my mother's 2005 F-150 with the 5.4. Her's is needing replacement apparently and Ford wants 1200.00 for a new one. What are some that y'all are running, and is anyone getting away with not using one (without throwing codes)? I'm not concerned with getting it inspected. Any advice that y'all could give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Magnaflow catalytic converters. The 94000 series models to be exact. Is it just the rears? Have them changed out with some #94006 cats, 12" long to equal out with the length, and keep things semi-tamed assuming she has stock exhaust.

She does have stock exhaust. I neglected to mention that it's the converter on the left side. I'll check the magnaflows out. Thanks!

What is the inlet and outlet size on the cats that are in front of the Y pipe? Thanks!

What is her mileage? Cats are covered under warranty for up to 100k in most cases. 80K is the minimum.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it is just over 100k. The cat is so far gone that it rattles inside when you tap on it.

Wow. My truck is 10 years old with 143K and my cats are still working. They must be made a lot cheaper now or she has a problem. Running rich maybe? Stuck injector?

More than likely a rich factor, or timing slightly off. Theres too much offset gases burning the catalyst.

The universal Magnaflow Darren suggested is going to be your best bet cost wise.

To give you another option, Walker makes both weld in replacement cats and bolt in sections, they're OEM replacements, and rockauto's got the best prices I've seen:
