Ripping of the Flowmaster!!!

Im going to go ahead and take my flow master exhaust off and just put a straight pipe in its place connected to a magnaflow Y-Pipe to keep the duals out the back. My question is what size do I need to get to make it fit, the same exact size as my current pipes? Or do I have to go larger or smaller so they fit inside of each other and then I can clamp them down. I’m just going to do this myself in the driveway and then get it welded later on when I get a chance so for now I’ll just be using compression clamps.

I’m pretty sure there’s a rattle coming from inside my flow master that’s why I’m doing this, it drives me freaking nuts, and I wouldn’t mind a bit more man noise.

Thanks guys

That rattle is a broken baffle plate, common Flowmaster problem.

The Magnafow Y pipe is pre-flanged so it slip fits, and most of the pipes you can buy off the shelf are pre-flanged too, if not they make adapters.

As for size, you'll have to measure that and see for yourself. If its got 2.5" tails it should be a 3" inlet then.
