Dual Race Exhaust System Setup

I'm often told that my truck looks like a beast but doesn't sound like a beast. Nothing is wrong with the exhaust setup I had before, it actually sounded pretty good but this new set up just sounds much better.

So I went from this: FlowMaster Supper 44

To this: FlowMaster 10 Series Delta Force 3.00" http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sh...=&orig=9430109

To give you an idea how much better this new setup sounds compared to the other one, watch these 2 videos.

Forward Video to 1:28, this is the Super 44

The following video is lill over 8 min, I wasn't planning on uploading such long a video but thought I would give you guys a lil tour of my neighborhood. At any rate, the million dollar shot is at 5:28-6:10 watch the camera guy trying to keep up with my speed.

The fellows who did the work informed me that if I didn't go X pipe they wouldn't do the work cause they know it wouldn't pass CA smog test. So I agreed to do the X pipe, other than that all I can say is

That... doesn't make any sense. The X pipe is a crossover, what they said was completely false. You can run no cross over no problem, well except for low end torque. But still, that has not a thing to do with smog. Sometimes they frown on true dual systems but as long as the converters are intact everything is fine. I'm surprised how nice and calm it is inside there with dual 1 chambers. That system could have been a hell of a lot louder if they made it H piped or even X'd though, but I bet your happy with it as is. Sounds good OG, love watching your videos , and even more about the carnage you put that truck through

Sounds much better than that 44! I would suggest the change over to an H pipe or X pipe and do away with factory Y!

Why wouldn't this be considered X or H pip configuration?

What size is the pipe before the Y pipe? Y pipes have 4" center cores, and are 8" long inside, which balances the banks perfectly.

But... I think an H pipe may sound better with a pair of dumped 10's.
