You should be fine. Do not think you will notice any exhaust or intake noise increase - or much, if any, power increase -

MGD, does that quote from super-chips also include swapping over to a CAI setup over the stock intake causing the engine to run more lean than it should? If thats the case, even doing a simple CAI swap requires a retune?

There are a ton of folks on here, running the Gotts mod, on there 97 to 2003 trucks, as well as many running CAIs, as well, with no issues.
