2004's have 4 cats..depending on your inspection in your county....probably just remove all 4 and replace with 2 would be what i would do unless you have to have 4 for legal reasons..mine HAD 4 and now HAS 2

No I dont have to go through inspections or none of that crap. So basically 2 of them replace 4 stock cats. So what exactly does high floe cats do for the truck? Does it give a louder idle sound

Just chop your rear cats out and leave the front ones in. The front ones dont resonate, are 11 inches and a quarter long, are very free flowing, and are monitored already. They are simply hi-flow cats already installed. Us 04 and early model 05 guys got real lucky with this. A simple rear cat delete is all you need. You can do it yourself, and have it welded later. Dont go through the hassle of buying cats and having labor done when all it will take is 12" stainless 2.5" pipes and good sawzall blades.

Ok I have another question, I'm not the smartest one when it comes to exhaust..So I take it the two rear cats are the one's further away from the engine. meaning theres 1 on each side of the truck?
