pipe diameter?
pipe diameter?
Looking for clarification here. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know anything about it so here goes. When I originally got my exhaust modified to SI/DO I ran a 3" midpipe back to my muffler and 2.5 the rest of the way back. When I see all of these posts on 2.5 vs 2.25 are you talking only muffler back or to include midpipe? My initial reasoning for the 3" was gathered from some research on this site way back but if I was wrong I would like to get my midpipe switched out when I have my long tubes installed. Thanks
Hummm....I hadn't heard that before. The good news is that my Y pipe will be replaced as part of the Dynatech header kit I purchased but for my own personal info....May I ask why the factory is so horrible?

I wish I would have waited on the SIDO setup I had installed as true dual would be a very do-able option but I just can't justify the expense of changing everything I just had installed a few months ago. Just made my appt to have the headers installed on Monday with my system as is but who knows...May end up taking the hit and scrapping from their back sometime in the future. This freeking exhaust system is going to be worth more than my truck before I'm done with it! Haha
yeah thats normaly how that goes haha total in my exhuast including mufflers and headers ive sold. is prob 1,500 dollars or so easily. 500 for when i got long tubes and that set up. 400 or so when i got the stuff to do lightning tips on each side. and then 120 for my ultra flow mufflers.....yeah... its fun to mess with

My Dynatech Long tubes with ceramic coating and high flow cats ran me around $1700. The initial SIDO with a flowmaster 44 series muffler and tips ran me around $400 installed and now I'm looking at another $450 for the header install. In the process of all this I went and picked up a Gryphon. Wasn't kidding it was getting a little out of hand! It's a good thing I'm not married or I'd probably be sleeping in my truck....LOL
