What exactly is 'our' trucks? Do you have a 2009+? Or a pre '97- model?

Yeah if your truck is a 98-present model you can't do the gotts mod, but you can do the DWV mod which is basically the same thing just applied to the newer trucks.

I have an $80 CAI off of ebay, and it came with a K&N cone. I have zero complaints.

so what you're stating is that it didn't work for you or you are confused?????

FYI, the gotts mod was designed around the 2 valve motors (first documented on a '99 5.4) and works all the way up to the '08, 2 valve motors

the DMV mod is for the 3 valve motors ('04-'08/'09ish)

It would really help if you would include your truck year and engine in your profile. If not, when you ask a question, you always need to include that info in the question.

If you can find one..(they went out of business last year) the AF1 is good. Just make sure that if you do find one and the intake tube is the 3.5" version you will DEFINITELY need a tune for it or you will run scary lean. From what I've researched the 3.25" tube can be run with the stock tune.

There might be some used ones or just sitting on a shelf somewhere out there.

If you do a quick reply it defaults to add your sig, but if you click go advanced you have to select the check box to enable your sig when you post.
