FlowSound Mufflers

Love the sound of my exhaust no but I'm tired of the drone of my dumped straight pipe and the haze its putting on my back right wheel (maybe from making it run too rich?), so I want to throw a muffler on there and run it lightning style or maybe dump it again. Would love a super 44 or magnapack but don't feel like forking over $75 for a muffler. I noticed those flowsound mufflers on ebay for $40 shipped and heard a few videos but was wondering if anyone else has one to throw their 2 cents in?

Also, I know the single chamber flowsound would be comparable to the 10 series, but what about two chambered one? And which one would hurt my performance the least?

Same thing as Flowmasters, and they have a coating on them that prevents rust.

Thanks, I'm gonna look into that. Is it just for the magnapacks or does it include exhaust tips too?

x2. The Magnapack ( 14" body 4" round muffler ) is $58 shipped from them. A Dynomax Bullet will be a pinch louder than the Magnapack, but is only 4 decibles quieter than straight pipe, and if you keep it dumped it wont sound too much different.

I would more suggest you run dual tailpipes out the back with tips. That will cut down on interior noise, and sound even better outside than your current dump style exhaust.

I'd rather go with a full nice exhaust system but for right now I just wanna keep it a SISO system before the rear tire. I'd be doing all the work myself using exhaust pipe I already have instead of taking it to a shop. So long story short...I want to try and keep it all under $75 or less with the muffler and tip because I'm a tight wad

Magnaflow Magnpack.

Bullet wont be any quieter than your straight pipe. But it will tame out the tone minimally.

If I do go with the magnapack, I'm assuming I should probably go 14"?

And just because I'm still considering it since it is so cheap...would the 2 chamber flowsound be comparable to the 40? I heard a single chamber and it sounded good.

EDIT: Forgot to add, I was also considering one of the chambered flowsounds because I thought the baffles might help with the clouding of the rear wheel compared to the straight pipe or straight through muffler. It seems sorta logical, but would a chambered muffler even help that?

Yes 14" for the Magnapack if you go that orute, will stay loud outside and real deep, keeping inside minimally calmer.

The only thing the chambered muffler will do is make a hint of a more hollow sound, and a sweet loud pulsing idle. They aren't well known for lasting very long, but that depends how much you drive, and if you dont fully warm up before shutting it down ( going a mile down the road and back to go to the store, not good for exhausts with aluminized parts ).

Their 2 chamber muffler is a knock off 40 series muffler they will sound very comparable.

The muffler is going to have zero effect on the clouding thing...
