spectre CAI?

i have a 2004 f150 5.4 2wd and i am looking for an CAI.i found the spectre for only $150 on autoanything and the only thing i don't like is the polished tube.one of my friends said to just wrap it in exhaust wrap and that way you wouldn't see the shine and it would make the air coming in cooler.is this true and what do yall think about the spectre CAI?

Its and ok intake, its still an open filter though. Dont wrap the tube, sand it, and paint it.

For some reason Spectre reminds me of a younger/smaller K&N...

Wrapping the intake tube won't make a measurable difference on a dyno... If you don't want it shiny, paint it.
