Gibson Shorty Headers and other exhaust ?

Alright so i just ordered a set of gibson shorty headers due to my stock manifolds leakin real bad. if anyone has them i'd like to know how they like them. also as of right now i have a magnaflow si/so and am thinkin of just going all the way with it. i want a deep throaty exhaust without the raspy. i prefer magnaflow but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where and how was your stock manifolds leaking?

How much did you spend on those Gibson's?

IMO I would return those and just redo your exhaust with long tubes(OBX, Coated Pace Setters, Dynotech) if you plan on going "all the way." The shorty's really don't do much on these trucks, and some people argue nothing at all. The factory manifolds actually flow pretty good. If the gasket was just leaking I would have just replaced the gasket.

lol great. well one of them was cracked and the other one idk yet it leaks bad tho. the list price for the headers i got was $651.88 i only paid $200 brand new. someone just really needed the cash. i was thinkin just true duals with an x but idk how that would sound with the shorties or any different at all.

Agreed! If your going to spend any money on headers, you are much better off to spend a little more and get LTs.

yeah the shorties will give you a better sound even tru duals but thats it. but why not just do the long tubes since you'll be in there anyway. and you'll gain the power with it! def worth every bit! but i guess if i have to do shorties.....

Does florida have emission laws? If so the shorties would be the only way to go. I don't know of long tubes that are emission legal, but I live in CA so if its bigger, better, or louder its prolly illegal

And once he's arrested for bribery he'll be enjoying the sound of his exhaust in jail right?
