No it will not. All of that is mostly on the other side of the muffler.

Backpressure is what happens when you are coasting down a hill and overdrive disables and the rpms rise sligtly as the truck slows down. You have a 100% direct flow system with a Bullet, which is healthy to run, You want to experience the least amount of back pressure as possible to keep economy good and coast further.

Your problem with the CEL is you possibly need to tune for the new headers, even though they are shortys. Firstly, I would re-set the battery and if that doesn't clear it, then you need a tune adjustment for a little more fuel to level out.

Performance tune being Level 3? Well possibly, but its still based for stock tunes. You are reuqired to run 91 or higher octane, and bump your timing 0.5 more each octane level you go, so for instance your running 93, you'll need to bump it up three times, 0.5 to 1.0 to 1.5, and your safe and running right.

Run a diagnostic on your edge if you haven't already and try to disable the CEL and see if it comes back.

Yes i already have cleared them and drove it today afterwards and nothing came up.. but you mean each octane higher over 91? So if i have level 3 i wont have to touch a thing if im running 91 right, because im not touching the timing.

Yes. Run 91 octane on 3 and you'll be alright. Run 93 you need to bump it till its at 1.5, its nothing scary, it wont harm your truck, just make sure you up it to 1.5 if you run 93. Lightly customizing the settings isn't really dangerous.

Sweet deal, glad to be of help. You can re-download the Edge manual from Edge's site if you dont already have it to look into customizing settings and further information about level 3. You'll love the performance increase and the slightly louder exhaust note with level 3 though, and the tailpipe helping project the sound outside will also be nice.

Edge tune runs leaner then stock (spoke with Edge). I have the P1074 but not the P1071. I have headers and replaced with a new set, that is not the cause. I replaced the 02 sensor at butt rape dealer installed cost The machenic showed me a fax from Ford Corp with a paragraph of things they want him to test at $100/hour. Basically it says do me shawshank redemption style with a sea lion's tool! A possibility that I do not have both codes is my true dual exhaust, so if only one cat is bad then back pressure is only increased on one side. Since you have both codes, you also have the possibilty of the PVC and MAF sensors gone bad.

I have ordered some hi flow cats and will clear the code and see if it reappears. I am not looking forward to being the dealers prison beeach.
