exhaust ideas, need a place wholl do it
So, ive been lookin around on here and online for the exhaust im going to put on my truck.
Ive got it down to either gibson short tubes or pace setter long tubes. 2.5 or 3 inch pipe. I leanin towards 2.5 inch so i retain backpressure. I want stainless steel pipe.
I definitly want magnaflow high flow cats and flowmaster 40 series mufflers and i definitly want it to exit infront of my rear tires at a 45 degree angle.
I called Lee county transmission in Ft. Myers, Fl. Apparently they dont use stainless stell pipe, only aluminized and they dont install headers.
I also called Performance Plus in Ft. Myers they do headers but not exhaust.
Both places acted as if because im deployed, i wasnt a viable customer.
I need to find a place my friend can take my truck, i have the money, ready to spend. i just want it done.

Not alot of shops will do stainless steel piping and welding work. You'll definitely pay alot when you find a shop that will though.
You will definitely want 2.5" dual pipes maximum, no 3" on these small block V8s.
Most header kits say recommended for off road use because emissions counties frown on LTs, you can still pass but they will give you grief about it. And since they dont come with catalytic converters they by law need to state off road use. As long as you add hi-flow cats inn with them you will be legal, most run no cats after LTs.

Ditch the shorties. Spend the same amount of money and go with headers that will do something for your truck, besides sound.
I will suggest to spend the extra $$$ and go with double walled tips. Single SS tips turn a golden color after a while and dont take the beating as well as double walled tips do.

Google a stainless steel exhaust shop local to your zip, go to some exhaust shops and ask them, or order 3 or 4 pieces of 6' long 2.5" stainless pipe from napa and take them for the shop to bend.
heres the tips, if i do 2.5 inch pipe, these got 2.5 inlet, im sure a shop can make it work
