Magnaflows are barely louder than stock. Not much sense in spending the money. I like the Roush offroad or a Flowmaster 40.

Sorry to disagree, but that's bs. I bet my broken in 14" maggie would give your 40 series a run for its money. Just over 2k rpms this thing is LOUD... even louder when having to punch it when merging on the highway.

For example, mine. Smallest body Magnaflows with duals and a little cat work, very respectable, and louder than any 2 chamber on stock cat system, hell actually its about just as loud as a Silverado 5.3 with hi-flows, and Flowmasters

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pprtoMfLpT4

Shows just how nice the modular V8 with straight through mufflers sounds compared to the pushrod with chambers.

And i'll say it here, be cause I did not want the video to be posted up to play instantly, I wanted it to be a web link, but the director says the S word, so DO NOT WATCH if you are not in a setting where you cannot hear profound language.

OK, I will rephrase. I have never heard a Maggie that was much louder than stock and it seemed a waste of money. How is that? I suspect the ones I heard are the 18". Pam's Ravins are very nice sounding, much like the Flowmaster 40. Ravin is sold by Midas.
