New Exhaust on Tuesday

Well after all of the comments and help from you guys I have finally saved enough to put on my exhaust. The truck goes into the shop on Tuesday.
I'm having the 18" magnaflow installed. 3" in and dual 2.5 out. I decided to not get stainless piping due to the fact that i'm gonna make some other changes in the future and would rather put the extra money into savings for a set of headers I was so close to going with the 14" but i was just worried that they would be a little too loud.
My only dilemma now is where do i have the tips exit. i tried looking in the photogallery but there is so much to sort through there. so if you guys wouldn't mind could you post or send some links of your tailpipes

thanks again guys. and i'll hopefully have some pics and soundclips up by next friday

Straight out is Chevy style, has been since the '80s man Not ******* on you, but yeah I cant tell you how many "I dont care put whatever on it" exhaust jobs happen and all they do is run 3" tips straight out. These 04+ trucks look fantastic with rolled edge tips, and especially 45'd, my opinion. The sound projection on surrounding buildings and stuff is cool too!

^ ya, if I was to spend money on tips I would have gotten rolled too, but these were giving to me. I thought about going with 45's but... i don't know.

If you do, everyone on the road will hate you when you pass them

Mine are 3.5 x 18 inch rolled tips. I would only go straight out the back if you have a 2WD truck.

Here is my setup.. after a few conversations with Darrenws6...

They actually don't stick out that much.. not as much as the sideview picture shows..

I got the 14" Maggy.. love it. Not too loud for me at all...

Enjoy! Post pics when you are done!

thanks for all of the input guys. my mind is made up and i can't wait to hear it for the first time.
Uncle Jesse - i was going to go with the 14" and would have if i still lived on my family farm in PA but here in northern virginia (in a suburb) it would probobly make my neighbors a little cranky haha.
In a few years when i go back i have all intentions of using the same setup as Darren.

My setup is pretty neighborhood friendly, its only when I hit 2000rpm is when it echos it far. Its not that loud until driven.
