Was that due to the length of the OEM O2 sensor harnesses? I've heard mixed opinions on this....... some say you need extensions and some say there is enough slack to get them remounted.

Yep. With the cut as far forward as possible I didn't need the extensions. Just enough length. Tight though.

Thanks for the advice. Where are you sensors mounted exactly? On the cats or in the pipe behind the cats? I thought they were supposed to be mounted about 6" downstream of the cat to prevent any codes from popping up.

They should mount them immediately after the cat, in the outlet or the pipe after it, depending on how far up they mount the cats to begin with the length of O2 sensor will vary.

Mounted into the neck flange of the cat. Here's a pic on my facebook.

Cat O2 sensor location

My exhaust guys were really wary of doing it but if it ends up throwing a code I'll do the Gotts mod.

Thanks for the pic. One last question....... is the inlet/outlet pipes on the high-flow cats 2 1/2" O.D. or 2 1/2" I.D.? I'm guessing they are 2 1/2" I.D. (just like any muffler would be) but I want to make sure.

The 94106 is the 2.5" in/out muffler, so shop by part # and you will get the correct part. You will need the 2.5" sizings.

Well the deed is done and dear Jesus does it sound amazing! Took the guy less than an hour and a half to weld everything up, check for leaks, and fix a few. I let him keep my old cats, so it only cost me $80 in labor. No check engine lights either, just a pants creaming roar! It's not that patented Mustang sound I've been shooting for (I blame the tips and asymmetric system), but what I've ended up with is something I've never hear on an F150 before, and being unique and different is what counts!

You can't see how he mounted the O2's, but he had to weld in a bung on each cat (right after the guts). It looks kind of like a hack job, but I didn't pay him to make it pretty.

94106's - $96
Labor - $80
Total - $176

And to that one kid who keeps crying that it's not possible for me to get under 7 seconds with my truck, here's something new for you to cry about!

And finally, the video...

Dog doesn't approve. I'll get some more videos up on a later date and hopefully with a camera that has a decent microphone. (suggestions on one would be appreciated)

Also, some guy in a newer Dakota wanted to race not even 10 miles out of the shop. Needless to say, he got (another word for rooster) slapped.

Next on the list is get some custom tunes, 4.30 gears and a limited slip!

Sounds great! Can't wait to get mine installed!

You mean he mounted the sensor in the body itself or on the outlet pipe?

I think you're the first 04-08 with high-flows, 2 1/4" true duals, h-pipe, and magnapacks.

I think I'll be the first 04-08 with high flows, 3" pipe from the y, and a SI/DO maggie 14" body.

Like right on the body, that area where it starts narrowing down, but it's not interfering with the internals of the cat.

You won't be disappointed when you get yours man!
