Yep, about a half inch, and I could care less.

 

Yeah it looks really good and that's not bad at all. Is it a pain to keep the tips clean?

 

Yeah, custom jobs are never 100% accurate because they aren't machine measured and bent and mechanically cut so it wont be perfect.

And yes it is difficult to keep them clean. I've just said F it and I dont clean them anymore.

 

I like the look of the tips at 45 but I am not sure that I would do it again because they are a nightmare to keep clean. The winter salt/sand really took a toll on those tips. I had them on my '04 for about 6 months just before I traded the truck.

 

I don't think I'll ever go back to 45 after this new setup. I don't have to clean these tips off near as often. It's a big reason why I went straight out the back this time---since I paint my tips I don't want to be cleaning them all the time.
