thrush mufflers?
I can't believe you got rid of dumped 40s You should have cut the turn downs off and you would have like them better.

I liked my 05 Chevy until it broke down. I'm leery of GM trucks because of that now but many report their's are fine. Before I am able to buy a new F150 I may give an 07+ GMC Sierra a try, depending if I hit 100k miles too early.
If I got a chevy anytime soon it would be an 03-06 model. I don't care about the 07 model's styling and don't like how they drive. It's hard to explain why just a preference. Isn't it weird how a thread started about a thrush muffler turned into talking about chevy trucks!

dude darren, werent you bitchin about the new chevrolet/GMC crash test!!!
i would get a GMC sierra 6.2 though...they look nice..but idk i dont see me ever straying away from a ford half ton...unless they pull some crazy stuff like...idk some of the BS Gm has..popping steering..guages not working..fuel pumps goin out at 50k no matter what

Till then, Once my F150 hits 100k i'll trade its *** for a younger lady and hopefully get my hands on a 6.0L Sierra and perform it up and louden it up.
Plus, The 07+ GM trucks have a 5yr 100k warranty, so once that warranty ends, I can ditch that for a brand new F150 if the money is right. I dont wanna own a GM truck out of warranty with my last experience with one.
What's wrong with GM?
Been driving a 2003 GMC 2500HD 6.0 for 250K now and NO problems!
I have only had to replace a few parts.
2 fuel pumps
4 crack exhaust manifolds
3 TB's
2 intake manifolds
4 drive shaft yolk supports
2 power steering pumps
Steering wheel column replaced
5 gauge clusters
3 pairs of tranny cooling lines
1 pcm
Did I forget to mention it was a HD?
Haha
LOL's

yes'r the guage clusters it the biggest thing with those..my grandma had a 01 tahoe for ohh..about a week..she had 2 clusters put in, a fuel pump, and the steering wouldnt stop popping.
darren do you mean 6.2L? ok..i wont stray away from ford unless i get a 3rd gen cummins
hey darren (again) when you hit 100k wanna make a trip to texas
i bought this one with 115k so 100k isnt to bad
i regret my decision..this is a good truck..but i coulda gotten a 2004 singlecab, 2wd 4.6 with 102k for a little less than this truck

Chevys... psh. I have been taking this girl to school lately and she bitches about how crappy Ford is and blah blah blah. Saying anyone who rolls a Ford is going to die, and Chevys they will be fine. I showed her my Rolloer (Flipped a F-350 7 times)ad showed a rollover of a Chevy (Just rolled once) Both people died in the Chevy where as me and my friend came out with minimal scratches. Plus our truck had a lot less damage and we flipped off an overpass.

For flipping off a overpass, and rolling it 7 times im glad thats all the damage there was.

Mine gave me a piston slap issue, power steering pump, and brake boost. Once the warranty expired i said bye bye.No, 2007 - 2009 had 6.0Ls, Not the LQ4 HD one, the LQ9 like in the Escalades, Silverado SS, and GMC Denali's. 2010 is when they are getting rid of the 6.0L and putting 6.2Ls in the V-Max option trucks.
