Wow! That's some SERIOUS mileage, Openclasspro! This is great to hear. I will definitely watch how much and often I clean the K&N. Thanx for the input.

Looks like I am stuck with the K&N, Scapesinc, which, so far, ain't a bad thing. Good to know about the S&B for those who have not made the switch yet.

I second the S&B, LOVE my CAI, but you're probably going with a drop in, K&N would be just fine. Lots of good feedback here already, just don't over oil it

yes it recommends u oil then let sit over night so it soaks, it could be very bad if you sucked the oil

another plus with S&B there oil kits tell you exactly how much to put on each filter and have a very easy tool to oil with!

Yeah, I was just looking to free up the airflow. Now, with the Gotts mod, silencer removed and with the K&N dropin I am sitting nicely. You can hear the air sucking in when you tap the gas with the hood open. Throttle response is crisp, and no need to change settings. Made the Ravin duals sound even deeper, too.

Tommer-
I had the K&N drop in for about a month before getting my CAI (got a nice deal on one locally) I liked it and during the installation of the CAI I got the chance to inspect the oem intake parts closesly and had no issue with oil on the inside or any dust.
Also if you would like to buy my drop in filter send me an email at twcraft@hiwaay.net
I wasn't looking to sell it but I would be glad to help you out. It sure beats paying autozone $50 for one.

Hey, thanx for the offer, Tanner! I wish I would have read this before. I went and bought the K&N dropin at my local Canadian Tire. You're right, it was actually over 50 bucks. I do appreciate it, though. It's members helping one another out that makes forums like this one so great.
