Dumped with tips pics?

So I just recently cut my dual exhaust back to where it goes over the rear axle a little bit and then stops for a more clean dumped exhaust look. Well It wasnt as loud as I was thinking(Its deep, not that I dont mind) But I like the more aggressive sound to it, and from what ive been reading putting tips back on might give me some of the sound back. So I was wondering if anybody had any pics of their dumped exhaust with tips on it.

If you want aggressive... Cut the pipes off right at the end of that flowmaster, no turn downs or pipe behind it.

I would, but I dont really wanna chop it off right after the flowmaster and have fumes come up in the truck.....Does anybody have any pics of where they cut off the exhaust after the axle?

I had my flows cut off with NO cats for about a year. The flows are mounted right at the end of the cab too, and I had no problems with fumes!

You would not believe how much of a difference that extra 3-4 foot of pipe makes. Cut them off and it will be much deeper, louder, cleaner, and much more aggressive!

I had my banks dumped just coming out of the muffler and I did not like it one bit so I did it like it is now and could not be happier with it and I do believe adding a tip does bellow the exhaust notes mine is 3.5" pipe with 5" tip

here ya go: https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...mes-charm.html

There really is no worry about the fumes coming back in the truck. This might be an issue if you dumped the exhaust very near the front of the truck, and then would only happen if you where sitting still for a long period of time. While the truck is moving its a moot issue. Nothing to worry about

I just realized that you had a 4.2. I would not cut them off.

Yea I have the 4.2, Im liking how some of you have the dumped with tips, Think thats what im going to do. Just gotta get my hangers moved back a little more. It shouldnt cost much to get a little more cut off and tips welded on should it?

my pipes coming out the back are rusty and unlevel and tip-less. i think you might have just persuaded me to chop the pipes off
