still don know whats wrong

well there's nothing wrong the engine. only thing could be is the pipes are different lengths. i dont have a crossover. i was wondering if i went in and had a x pipe put in would help? would a x pipe equalize everything out right before the tailpipes?

What did you do to begin with or what's going on?

hmmmmm, I'm glad everyone here knows what you are trying to do, so yes install the flux compacitor and with enough jigawatts you'll be fine

you can always start by replacing the nut that holds the steering wheel, that's always a sure way to solve problems

Well running no cross over isn't good to run to begin with, different exhaust bank lengths need to be leveled near the Y pipe area for your low end power...

sorry i just got out of class. i have a 2000 5.4 f150 lariat. i have true duals from my front two cats with glasspacks. the right exhaust pipe is not as loud as the left one when driving and idling it sounds like air. there's nothing wrong with the engine. glasspacks are good. only thing is the diff in pipe lenght is like a 38 inch diff. i was told this could be the problem. which is why i asked if a x pipe would eliminate this problem cuz it all gets equaled out

Figure out where the "y" pipe originally was and install a "x" pipe. This will help balance the motor and equalize the sound.

X would be quieter by maybe 2dbs, but the H pipe does not crossflow the sound as well as an X would so theres a very good chance it will not solve your sound problem. My Silverado had H piped Flowmaster true duals and the right bank was louder than the left bank because the left bank was louder, and the H pipe is a lousey sound combining crossover.

well im gonna go with the xpipe. that way everything is equalized for sure. now the other question. how much quieter will it make my exhaust? i love how mine cracks the way it does now. i don really wanna lose that. if a x pipe would make it that much quieter i would just take the glasspacks off. but is a x pipe gonnna make it quieter? any vids would be great! need to make a decision by tomorrow

X will tone it down a little bit, but I think you will like the reshaped sound it produces.

That actually sounds similar to how mine sounds, & i have an X pipe. Not a good one, but it still does its job, and mine has that sound on the right tip. When you said no sound I imagined you meant literally no sound. The way Fords engines are that sound is produced.
