Dumped Flow!!
Dumped Flow!!
Well, I just put an original 40 series SiDo 2.5" cat back on (Dumped). Sounds pretty decent.... Wanna give it a little while to break in before I decide about changing the cats to high flows. It has a good deep growl at idle and gets pretty loud WOT. I think it sounds the best at around 2800 rpm's. I like that it has no rasp to it, stays deep and strong constant!
It will last more than a couple years. No break in on a chambered muffler though. Only packed mufflers will "break in". If you want more sound, you need to do something with them stock cats. It will still be deep, but it will add more rasp to it as well, especially if you leave it dumped.
When I decide to delete the factory cats and go with the high flows, I am going to run the tail pipes out the back with rolled tips...Just can't decide what size tips I want. Thinking 3"
Dumped chambered mufflers are quieter than if they had tailpipes & nice tips also. It would be a little louder if you had tailpipes & tips.
Thats good to know....Thanks for the knowledge....Will prolly go staright out with the 3.5" rolled!

For example, here is a guy who recently got the 4" rolled lip Magnaflow tips just like mine, except straight out.

For quick posts its default to be off, if you go to advanced its default to be on.

Yeah, obviously you don't know what your talking about. There is nothing to break in, no padding just plates. All that's going to happen on 500-700 miles is a thick coating of carbon and soot will build up.
