Where can I get some Black exhaust tips? I don't want the RBP one because of the chrome star or RBP logo on them.

I am getting my local shop to fab up a exhaust system up for me & having them dump it in front of the rear tire and i would love to have a black Tip.

 

powder coat, or very few places online

 

Buy a set that you like and paint them.. I painted my Roush tips.

Use a red Scotch Brite pad to scuff the chrome or aluminum and the apply multiple light coats of black engine paint.

 

will powder coating hold up to that kinda heat? i got a guy here in town that did my bumpers real cheap, and i thought about having him do the exhaust tips, but wasnt sure how it would hold up

 

The ones you can buy online are powder coated. I would think that rock chips would make them look bad.

 

never thought about that. blackout, you have any problems with rock chips?

 

Powder coat them. Holds up to heat very very well, and stays bonded well. as for rock chips, if your worried, get splash guards.

 

I just had my exhaust tip Line-X'd for $20 at my local bed-liner shop. They did the exhaust tip and both of my bumpers for $180.00.. Turned out great, and they said that the Line-X can withstand heat up to 300*F.
