Just for better flow. My current set up is stock...2 cats 2.5'' into one muffler and a single 2.5'' out. So I'm thinking the cheapest and easiest upgrade is a new muffler with a 2.5'' in and a 3.5'' out.

wowwwwww

i dont think u know the correct pipe sizes...

single pipe system is no more than 3"
you replace the piping AFTER the Y pipe to 3" if you want a 3" SISO system.

single in dual out is 2.5" in 2.5"

dual in dual out is 2.5" 2.5"

you would never run a DISO. doesnt exist.

you've obviously owned a ricer in the past........ Not sounding offenseive just making a joke.

With trucks, you need to stick to one & only pipe size to retain excellent low end power. As far as the muffler that depends on your sound preference. Go to youtube.

You have/had a WS6, why don't you have a cutout on your truck?!

If only we could see gains with one.. family friendly one second, "HOLY EFF" the next

I do have a low tolerance for exhaust noise on my daily driven & worked truck. I had to get rid of my fun toy car because I needed a truck. I had the GMMG catback on my ws6, was plenty loud for me, sounded great as a 6spd too, problem was my parents always heard me when i tried sneaking out to the g/fs.

Flowmaster does make a DI/SO, its called the 70 series big block, it was morely designed for GMs 8.1L and 6.0L in 2500/3500 gas engines & Diesels since they all come with factory dual 3" pipes and a single 3.5" tailpipe. Also a SI/DO Magnaflow turned around will work as a DI/SO since its reversable.

Well I was 16, she was just turning 15, and it was a 7 mile drive so I guess it was my move. Plus her parents were heavy sleepers

yes yes yes, I am retarted and this is my first truck. Nevertheless, thanks for all the input. After looking around on YouTube, I think I'm going to go with SI/SO 2.5'' XR-1, not sure on what tips yet though. Thanks again, and sorry for the stupid question haha.
