I actually kinda have, lately I find myself liking the 4 cat systems mufflerless. Not too sure about the 05+ with only two cats ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpJCTi5tCpQ ), and I still hate hi-flows without mufflers, but I like some straight pipe systems.

I like my straights. Unless your factory cats are clogged I would just leave them alone and run duels in 2.25" pipe with an X pipe as close to the cats as the installer can put it. As for towing, if you do it a lot you may want to 45 or 90 the tailpipes out the back instead of straight out the back bumper. Mine are straight out the back and they do echo off my travel trailer but I only tow it 6-10 times a year so I can live with it.

If you decide you can't live with the stock cats and get the highflows I would get mufflers of some kind or it will make your ears bleed and p*ss off all the neighbours. lol.

Well i am going to go with the dual slp's with the magnaflow hi flow cats 45'd out the back. Now all i have to do is scrounge up some money for it all. Will i need an X-pipe (whatever that is)? Also if I order it all online can i just take it to a muffler shop and they will install it all for me?

You don't need an X pipe but you will probably want one. I ran without one for a while and there are some guys that don't have them. It will be louder without one and because I have no mufflers it popped and farted more but it did have almost no drone. The X pipe brought back the tiny amount of torque I thought I lost and made my exhaust a little quieter. It took out most of the popping and farting but it does drone more. You could also run and H pipe.

Look on EBAY for X pipe. They have one on there that looks identical to the magnaflow X pipe but it is about $30 shipped!
