A question asked a million times

But I'm going to ask again because every setup is different. I've got a 2006 f-150 FX4, with the 5.4l, that I've put a evolution programmer on (still waiting to get the grypon upgrade) and run on power program 2 (towing) and I've added a S+B cold air intake and a flow master american thunder kit with the 40 series muffler (SIDO). I always get comments on the truck sounding good and for the most part it does but I want more. Anyone have a similar setup with a bad **** exhaust that'll wake the neighbors? I've been thinking about going after the cats true duals, for now, to stay compliant with the warranty. I've been half thinking about throwing a glass pack in before the flow master muffler, I don't know why but I'm just curious as to what it would sound like. Not a lot of money and I'd hate to start hacking the exhaust up for nothing. Let me know if you have something tried and true. Also out of curiousity what is a ball park figure on a true dual custom exhaust from a shop (extended cab)?

Thanks,
Bob

i was in your shoes a yr ago with a si/do 40 series. i wanted more. i switched to true dual single chamber flowmasters with an H pipe and let me tell you, i got more lol. it sounds amazing and its really loud at full throttle. switching from the si/do to true duals cost $320 welded. its at least 2x as loud as the 40.

i had true dual striaghts put on my extended cab Z71 for 300 with tips...that included everything and i had true dual 8 inch glasspacks put on the same truck and it was 350...25 more dollars for each glasspack. so its almost saving money to go with true dual striaghts or glasspacks because it is louder and just like buying a name brand muffler that is single in dual out payin for the install and buying tips. And yeah your gonna get the go magnaflow route but do what you want man. I never listened to all that stuff. The louder the better is what i think.
