4.6L Straight Pipe?

Hi, i got a flowmaster on my truck now. its a single chamber muffler. Its a singe inlet dual outlet muffler. Its not loud enough for me, im looking into straight pipin it with true duals. anyone have that setup on their 4.6? Im just tryna see if it will sound decent. Thanks

ditch the straight pipe. get 2 dynomax bullets, H pipe, 2.5" piping. it will be as loud as straights, but wont sound snap crackle pop, and will sound mean and aggressive.

im gonna save you alot of time and money. similar to what migdaddy said. DO NOT go straight pipes, had them, loud as hell but has NO TORQUE. Heres what you do
-keep the flowmaster if you like, does not flow near as well as a dynomax or magnaflow but still ok
-have a shop do true duals, best for overall performance
-personally i have 2.25 in pipe but you can go 2.5 if wanted
-do an x pipe hands down
-get rid of the stupid 4 cat system and get two magnaflow cats part # 94106
-then get back on here and thank me for how much you love your exhaust system lol, jk but you will love this set up and it will roar AND give you more performance

These guys both are on the correct track. If you want real sound and aggression, SI/DO just wont cut it. True dual it with Bullets, SLPs, or Magnapacks and you'll be happier, and get two hi-flow cats to replace the 4 OEMs.

They may, I know my 05 only has two. If it does just replace those two with the High Flow Cats that a part number was givin for. If you want to follow another topic on a setup similar, mblouir is replacing his cats with the high flows and putting two bullets on. https://www.f150online.com/forums/ex...wbie-here.html

youd love true dual 10 series which is what i have. sounds growly and nasty at low rpms and straight pipe sound a wide open throttle. recently i removed the 2 rear cats and its loud as crap now. i cant believe the difference in 4 cats vs 2. easily twice as loud. since u already have 2 itd sound just like mine now. i know ud never regret it.
