Flowmaster Exhaust - what muffler?
x2. I loved the sound of mine, I put it up for sale only because it was time for a whole new kit and I went with roush.
I just installed Super 44, love the sound. I also have high flow cats. I had Gibson on my truck before with high flows and it sucked! Flowmaster has the best deep sound, hope I don't **** off the magnaflow people.

The Original Flow 40 (non-Delta Flow) sounds amazing! Best sounding Flowmaster, IMHO.
WOW!!!
didn't think i was gonna get that kinda turnout, thanks everyone. guess it's the super 44 for me. now i just have to pick one up and find a shop to bend some pipe. i can do all the installing.
sorry to the magnaflow guys, the video clips i found just weren't the sound i was looking for.
i'll def post some clips and pics once it's done.

what would it take for me to grab the two super 44's in the classifieds and run duals under my truck. would i just cut the mid pipe and run them straight back from the cats? what would the sound difference be
thanks again you guys are the best.
thanks again you guys are the best.
the sound difference between 1 muffler and 2 is this: true duals is quite a bit louder, alot more agressive sounding, plus u get better high-end power. ill always have true duals from now on

will using 3" pipe for the whole system effect my performance at all. i really dont want to loose my low end torque. the shop said that they run 3" from the cats back, full system. is this good?
if you use 3inch with true dualsyou will have terrible low end power. however 3 inch si/do or si/so will give the best performance.
thats what i needed to know, thanks
the shop said they would install the system with a si/do magnaflow, yes magnaflow and 3" mandrel bent pipe, with dual rear exits bent out behind the rear tires for around $650. this includes the muffler and 18" tips. is this a good deal or not
and yeah after this thread and thinking i was going with flowmaster i went to the shop and got to hear my exact truck with the super 44 setup. just a little louder than i was expecting, and the fact that flowmasters life expectancy is only 2-3 years really turned me off.
i also heard the magnaflow 18" setup and it sounds pretty darn good. and once i add the CAI and longtubes that should bring me right to where i wanna be
thanks again for everyones opinions and input.
