True duel or not / flowmaster or magnaflow

I got a 98 4.6 v8 and I wanted to know if there is a huge sound difference between a one in two out muffler or true duel exhaust. I also want to know which sounds better the magnaflow exhaust or 40 series flowmasters. Im kinda leaning toward the magnaflows but Im not sure.

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

there is a sound difference and a performance difference with a sido system or a true dual system. true dual being better and louder, yet more expensive. and as far as sound goes on different mufflers, thats all you. search youtube and see what you like. we cant give you opinions on muffler sound, thats all ur choice, because everyone has their own opinion

Bingo. True duals have superior performance when done with 2.25 piping btw. 2.5" piping on a true dual sounds good too, but you lose some low end. As stated, opinions are all over the place. See for your self.

if you go with a flowmaster and are considering the 40 series look at the super 44

magnaflow, flowmaster, rosuh, borla, etc they are all good and different strokes for different folks, the key is to find something you like the sound of (you tube is great) and then go with that, because at the end of the day it's your truck and you have to drive it

Topic has already been well explained, but to add in, unless you have money to throw around, I wouldn't go true dual, SI/DO is enough to get the same sound volume with a more decent performing system.

And in my personal opinion, chambered mufflers do not sound as good as straight through ones do.

Youtube it.
