thrush muffler

I have a 06 stx/4.6 of course.I want to remove the stock mufler and put on the thrush with dual outlets and just put some turndowns on the end of the muffler. This wont hurt anything will it?except for being loud in the cab?
great site by the way!

I guess by thrush you mean a glasspack? i have a 4.6 and i had a flowmaster 40 series that wasnt loud enough for me so i ended up getting a dynomax bullet dumped right under the bed, even with all four stock cats its plenty loud for me and i like it loud. its as loud as running a straight pipe but very aggresive sounding. theres a couple of vids of them on the 4.6 on youtube and i would check them out.

Thrush is made by dynomax. They're just about as cheap as you can get. I don't think they sound worth a damn, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. I'd look into other options if I were you.

I actually had a true dual'ed set of them when I was in high school on a '70 F-100 that I built. Even with a nice cam they weren't that impressive. I may sound like a broken record here, but I stand by the dynomax bullets. They don't even cost Much more than the thrush mufflers.
