Tip or no tip??????

I've been thinking about if I should get a tip or not once I get my exhaust(3" SISO 14" maggie) I think just the pipe alone would look kinda cool coming out at a 45 degree at the stock location. But I read tips help out with sound??? would it really make a BIG difference if I do get it or not???

its a different sound having the extra piping and tip coming at at 45 degree out the back. if you dumped the exhaust, itll just echo and will be loud in the cab. if you put it out the back like u said, youll get the sound echoing off of structures, and less interior drone. Plus, it looks better too. 3.5 or 4" double walled rolled SS tip.

yep, that's the same set-up i got and i think the look of that tip is my favorite part of the system. the sound is mean too.

did you go with the Magnaflow 12219? As for the tip, I thought the rolled SS tip looked better on my 2003 flareside since it's a smooth and curvy truck to begin with. the smooth rolled edge of the tip goes with the truck's curves.

Any kind of tip is better than bare pipes, plus they sound better.

You to have a nice looking SS tip IMO, other than that, its just a naked pipe poking out of your truck. Ewww

It is probably about the same as a flow 40 but quieter than a Super 44 not to mention it won't drone.

Yep. $124.27 with free shipping for both the tip and muffler. Performance Peddler is an awesome company and shipped my order out the same day. Magnaflows definitely have a smoother sound than Flowmasters -- it's really all personal opinion but I'll take a Magnaflow over a Flowmaster any day.
