Dumped exhaust????!!!!!

Dumped exhaust????!!!!!

im gettin a 40 series flowmaster and i was wondering if i get it dumped right before the rear axle will i have any problems and will i smell it?


Help is greatly appreciated!

i had the same setup on my old truck and never had any problems with it. I dont think you would smell it. the only bad thing i have heard about dumped exhaust is that it can cause the bottom of your bed to start rusting. but ive never seen it happen.

It could if a vehicle idles too much especially in winter when the heat and cold is random, also the salt.

It will just be pretty loud inside.

Dumping it before the axle makes it drone a lot inside the cab while still being relatively quite on the outside. If you dump it over the rear axle, it will be a lot less irritating in the cab, but the outside noise will stay about the same.
