exhaust and intake question

hi guys, I just installed a k&n cold air intake on my 09 ford f-150.I have an appointment this week to get a flowmaster 40 series muffler with duals straight out the back.I don't have a tune yet.I've been waiting for php to come out with one.will these mods hurt my truck until i get the tune?or will i just lack some of the performance potential? any help appreciated.
thanks rob.

To be honest... I would highly recomment magnaflow part # 12198. Similar in loudness under accleration and even deeper. This will help your performance/mpg if you keep your foot out of it.
