Dumping the exhaust

Hey guys, I have a magnaflow SI/SO catback on my 08 reg cab and I have been entertaining the idea of cutting it off right past the rear axle. I love the sound but hate the single pipe sticking out the side. Will this change the sound of it by a large amount? Will it be higher or lower in tone?

I like the look of no exhaust pipe out the back but I don’t want to cut off what I paid for if it’s going to screw it up. What kinds of change in sound can I expect from doing this?

Also, is there a specific angle I should cut the pipe? I notice most people do an down angle cut.

It will gain a tiny bit of sound, and sound louder in-cab. Cut it off right after it passes the axle.
