Dynatech Headers? X-pipe?
Right after the Y pipe. The Troyer kit should include a dual inlet 2.5" to single outlet 3" Y pipe. Run a 3" intermediate pipe to a 3" inlet muffler, and 2.5" tailpipes, you will be set.
The chick at Troyer's said that the Y was 2.5". Not sure if she was just talking about the inlets. I haven't been able to find any specifications anywhere online. So is it possible that it's 2.5" in and out? If so, what would be the advantages and disadvantages of 2.5" pipe vs. 3" pipe to the muffler? Keep in mind I want it to sound great, but I want the best performance gain.

I got confirmation today from Troyer, confirmed by Dynatech, that the Y outlet is 2.5". I would hate to cut into it, considering how damn expensive it is. And a different Y with a 3" outlet would be another $70 - 80 or so. I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth it to change it to 3" to the muffler or leave it 2.5".

I have a 02 F150 Boss. I had a custom exhaust shop in town remove all my stock cats, make a custom down pipe with two hi flow cats, and finish the rest of the exhaust with 2 1/2" piping. It is also a true dual exhaust. Currently I have $650 into the system minus the header. Still trying to decide on that. I immediately noticed the torque difference as soon as I drove the truck.
I have a lot of time to kill waiting to come back home from Iraq, so I sit and spend way too much time surfing the web. Lately, the STS turbo kit has caught my attention. I have already ordered the Dynatech headers, which would be a waste on a turbocharged engine. (according to the STS website FAQs) I could sell the header kit to my buddy who has a King Ranch, if I could talk him into it. I need someone to talk me out of it, because I am tempted.

I didn't know they would do that or I would have asked. I would be curious to know if they would stretch it, then ship it, as I will be doing it myself, not having it done in his shop. Would stretching it cause it to be weaker since it would be thinner and eventually break through? I know most muffler shops have pipe stretchers too.
Not a real big issue since its t-304 stainless.

Thanks for all your advice and comments. I just ordered a custom package from Troyer with the Dynatech Header System. I can't wait!
