Talking My first ever post is a cat question!

First off I'm glad to meet everyone. I LOVE the site. I've been a lurker for too long! In NC with emissions can i swap out my cats for high flows without my current cats needing to be replaced? Also, are magnaflows better than other cats?

The only true way to find out if you legally can run hi-flow cats is to check with your local exhaust shops to see if you can. Otherwise, #94106, and the sensor mounted 94136 cats will work for your truck.

Magnaflows are most favored due to the superior quality for the excellent low costs.

Thanks Darren. I will check some nearby shops. I hope I can get them. I'm looking forward to the sound increase I would get just as much as the performance. Do you have to flash the computer or do anything about the sensors or will any codes go off after install?

You wont need any computer tuning done, the worst case you will get a CEL but as long as the O2 sensors are after the cats you will be ok, the 94106 cats would be a better option. The sensor mounted cats are a hit & miss usually for CEL.
