louder?
For universal hi-flow cats, always mount them after the new cats, CEL will be prevented guaranteed.
I ran straight pipe out in front of my rear tire from cat back on my screw it actually sounds good, sounds better when gassin hard but that eats fuel as we know. I'm eventually going with headers but for now this works
Your more likely to get a CEL since you have the cat mounted sensors. If you had the non cat mounted sensors maybe a little less likely. But overall you could try to just delete the rear cats, re-mount the sensors in the new pipes, and do the Gotts O2 mod if a CEL ever comes on.
sweet, thanks Darren. and tomorrow i make a phone call to the local PD to see if its illegal to take my cats off. the guy thats going to weld my muffler on said its a felony to even touch the cats in TX. i looked it up online but wanna call the PD just in case.
Always good to make sure of things before acting upon it. I never heard of that law for TX though, only California its state wide to modify cats. In other states I can see how some areas laws are different than others about such things.
