Should I change the muffler or get catback?
I want to change my stock exhaust but don't want to lose any backpressure or lose MPG/HP.
I have a 2009 5.4L 4x4 and am contemplating getting a flowmaster muffler installed or spending the extra cash for a full catback gibson or magnaflow exhaust.
I can get a flowmaster delta 50 installed in place of my stock muffler for $160 out the door.
Any suggestions pro's/con's I would appreciate it.

First off, I'd say find a different exhaust shop. 160 for a muffler install is ridiculous, I got mine done for 80.
Bang for buck, just swap a muffler in there and call it a day. You don't gain much performance from a catback anyway.

Oh nice I will have to look into that.
Does it matter if my truck has only 1k miles on it and I am already changing out stuff? I don't want to mess with any sort of break in etc.

I've never used an intake. I've heard they can give some good gains but to get the most out of an intake you usually need to get custom tunes, plus the tunes help keep your air/fuel ratio correct since a lot of cais change the area around the MAF sensor. I'm not sure what kind of gains the 09s are getting but on the 04-08s there are really nice gains with tunes and an intake.
That sounds pretty damn good too! Ugh now I don't know what to choose lol.
