if your going with a single pipe, 3" from the Y back is the best performance.

From all the reading I've done in the past 2 months while saving and trying to decide on an exhaust a single 3" is the best way to go if going single.

I'm doing the same thing to mine, except in stead of dumped, I'm going to run it lightning style.

I did the same for a few weeks and liked it. Although with no muffler it seemed to pop occasionally and lose some good sound at top end, sounded like the RPMs doubled near 4500. I was going to get a muffler put on but never got around to it, so I put the pipe back on.

Correct, 3" from the Y is one of the best ways to run for low end and high end performance. No intermediate pipe will kill your low end.

This is the one that I got. It has a sister that is 'unpolished' but I got the 'polished' one because my fiance works at Advance Auto Parts so she got it for me for 70.00!!!!

Its a Center/Offset recommended by Darren.
