02 5.4L with the above add-ons.....sounds like I have glasspacks that are burnt out. I need to quiet it down but still like a decent growl. I had a flowmaster 50 series some time back but it rusted out within a couple of years....bigger magnaflow? what size would compare to a 50 series? How about Dyno max? You tube sound clips haven't helped, since most of them are just a touch quieter than mine. I have come to the end of rope with my exhaust....must be getting old I guess.

Try going to a 14 or 18" maggie, you could even try a 22". Just remember, the longer it is the quieter it is.

What would you recommend to equal a 50 series flowmaster? 18" or 22" Magnaflow might be what I need. Problem as well is I'm running 3" pipe from the Y after the long tubes which enhances the rasp I found in the mid rpms.

18" magnaflow for sure.

Do you have videos of your exhaust? On a 1 - 10 scale judging by my videos, how loud is mine compared to yours with yours being 10 ofcoarse.

I had the same problem. I had a Pacesetter cat-back 1st, then went to LT headers & no cats. I ended up using a Jones Exhaust Full Boar Quiet Tone muffler instead of the Pacesetter muffler. I was able to re-use the extension & tail pipes & just replace the muffler. It sounds a lot like a late model Mustang Cobra now! Love it!

This is probably close to what it sounds like even though this a 460 ci with duals......my long tubes with 3" makes a little more rasp than this at WOT.

If you have ever seen Built54 and Bosses race vid on this site, mine is "almost" as loud as Bosses which is crazy loud.

Also, would adding cats help my low end a bit since I lost a touch from 1000rpms? I gained a good amount mid range and up, but want the low end grunt I had before with the stock set-up. The 4:56's can really get the 34" tires going but I want more!!!

Too bad I live in Canada....I have to use what available which is Hedman, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Dynomax, and Cherry bombs. Shipping and exchange would kill me in the end but thanks.

go with an 18" magnaflow. no question. itll give u that nice deep growl youll looking for and will be incorporated nice with the Lts. maybe put some high flow cats on. youll lose that raspy sound.

Yeah about the same loudness....cept I have a little more rasp. I was driving home yesterday from work and on the main road and passed several cars when I hit the gas and noticed the drivers had a "leaf blower in there face" look. I laughed of coarse, but I know it would **** me off if it happened to me.
