exhaust leak

exhaust leak

98 f150 4.6L I have an exhaust leak at the flange... am I the only one or do other people have this problem. if so, is it work getting it fixed or a way to fix it myself, like a temp fix?

at the header flange? do u see black stuff comin out? is there a clamp right where the leak is? u might have to remove the clamp and weld the pipes together. i had a leak too is this similiar to what your talkin about?

it looks like there is black stuff coming out... you have the exhaust manifold and then it have that joint, the flange or donuts... it has two bolts, I guess it's like a ball and socket type joint, but I was maybe thinking about having someone spot weld it to fill in where it's leaking.. If you want I can try to get a pic.

ya if theres black coming out its for sure a leak. i would get it welded so it wont leak again

i'll have it priced, but it's hard to reach in there especially the back, but i'll see what they can do, I'll be sure to keep up updated.
