Hi Flow Cats and Ford Warranty
Hi Flow Cats and Ford Warranty
I am installing some high flow cats from Magnaflow (94136 with O2 sensor) and was wondering if Ford can give my any crap about my drivetrain warranty (60,000 miles) because of them. I have 40,000 on the truck and already have installed a Roush off road kit. I was told by a friend that the Roush won't void anything because it is a cat back system but they thought the high flows might get me in trouble with Ford. Thanks in advance.

Also, I talked with an exhaust shop to put the cats in (after looking at the install it would be pretty tight to use clamps) and they recommend welding everything including the ROR kit. I asked them if they used stainless welds and they didn't know of any shop that was doing that around here. Is it better to stick with the stainless steel clamps rather than have it welded with steel that will corrode? He told me vibration was a big issue with clamps.

Have them weld everything up and just use a good long term paint to cover the welds.
