Exhaust

If i were to get a new muffler for my 09 that was for 04-08 trucks, would it be able to fit? I know you can make almost anything fit with redneck engineering but will it cause any problems?

Just look under the truck. That whole length of pipe that runs from your factory Y-pipe to the axle can carry just about any size muffler your want to cram in there. If you get a smaller muffler, then the muffler shop just has to add a little extra pipe. If you get a bigger muffler, then the muffler shop just has to cut more pipe. The possibilities are endless. It all depends on what results you are after. Some companies post dyno sheets to show the gains from their systems. Other companies sell their products based upon the way they sound. Now everybody will chime in and tell you to get "brand X" because it's the one that they like the most. Do your homework. Decide what works best for you. Louder, deeper rumble? More quiet than stock? Performance gains? Or a combination?
