Sound difference between 2 and 3v engines?

just wondering which truck whether a 97-03 or 04+ 5.4 is loudest with similiar exhaust setups? does that 3rd valve make a difference in the noise or what? say my truck with high flows and super44 and a 04+ with rear cat delte and same muffler were compared which would be "louder". haha stupid questions but ive always asked myself this.

Not a very big difference, however IMO the 3v sounds even less like a push-rod engine than the 2v does ( I know the 2v is a modular too. ) but I think the 3v is a little louder but that may just be because the 2005.5+ has two cats vs the 4 cat systems in all 2v trucks, and the 2004 and 2005 4 cat systems.
