Looking for worlds quietest muff for '97 4.2
Hi guys, I know this sounds unusual, but I really, really dislike the sound of the 4.2 in my truck, so much so that I can't take it anymore.
Every performance muffler I've heard, no matter which, sounds lousy to me.
So, if I can't have good sound, I'd rather have none at all.
Hence the question -- does anyone know of a a super quiet muffler?
Quieter than the stocker. I mean, dead-bone, grave yard quiet.
I don't wanna hear the 4.2 at all. If the new muffler is restrictive, I don't care. I'll pay the performance penalty. Even if it was originally intended for a 72 Buick, I still don't care. Just as long as it's quiet.
Any ideas?
Otis

Heh, heh, thanks for the ideas, guys.
Actually, the O-pipe would probably sound really good - for about 10 seconds or so until the engine died.
As for selling and such, the only thing I dislike more than the sound of the 4.2 is the idea of paying off an inch-thick payment book.
GAAHHHH!!!
