Absolutely. Dont pay that. Get a ''highflow'' magnaflow cat installed in place of it and replace the other one as well with one. get an exhaust shop to do this for you. dont go to a dealership

Firstly, are you under warranty? If not, pin-point the reason your cat got clogged. Cats can clog from the engine idling for too long ( carbon build up not beling blown through properly like it does through acceleration ) or running rich, which could occur from a bad injector which is a common issue for 2005 models, and few 2006s.

But x2 on the cat fix remedy. Time for a set of part # 94306s, or if you want a more cat-less sound, 94106 cats will louden it up alot. Make sure the rear O2 sensor is mounted after the new cats.

If you dont go the high flow route, look up and see if the cats are under warranty. Now, dont quote me on this, but the cats themselves should be under warranty for a set number of miles.

X2. I have an 05 and I'm not to 80,000 yet.

Also, something had to clog the cat, possibly a leaky injector. Check for any trouble codes.

ummm yeah, replace those with maggies. spend around 160 and maybe 50 for install. they are right by finding the reason the cats clogged in the first place.

yeah find the reason then only spend 100 bucks to get down pipes made with no cats and get some more hp and leave a bigger carbon footprint not to mention it will sound better too

Wow, youre an idiot. We all breath the same air there, bud. People like you are the reason the eco-***** will always have fuel to add to the fire against the vehicles we drive.

Good choice!

keep an eye on your exhaust once in a while, discolored emissions and smell can be a clue on why that bank plugged to begin with

oh well belive me i am not the worst for the envorment....you ever seen some diesels with chips pouring black smoke??? there far worse than my truck with no cats belive me.

i was trying to save him a couple hundred bucks to cats are over rated and dont do anything to help out power or mileage. my truck runs a heck of alot better without cats.

every dyno chart ive seen with cats vs high flow cats vs no cats no cats is normaly more hp and tq and about 5-10 hp more than stock cats or high flows.

i dont have any cats to throw on my truck to dyno with. i got rid of them 3 years ago and never looked back
