Banks Dual Monster Exhaust Installed

Thats right last weekend got the chance to install my banks monster dual exhaust. I am really happy with it overall. I decided not to use the muffler that came with the kit but to rather just straight pipe it instead. The fit and finish was great and the sound is the best part. At start up idle it really lets you know its there and once it idles down to the normal level it still has a nice rumble to it without being obnoxious. At a steady drive it sounds perfect just what I was looking for and with your foot into it sounds great and lets everyone know you are there. If I would have to compare it to anything it most be like "all4sho's" f150 video on youtube in which case he used a dual 4" diesel. I will try to get pictures and hopefully a video or sound clip up as soon as I can.

One issue I did have with it was the kit said if you had the factory 9900lb hitch that you needed a special hang kit because the ones included would not work with the hitch. The kit was an additional 50 and I could only find it from Banks direct. After looking the kit over for 45mins and not finding the place on the frame where supposedly this kit bolted right too I called Banks and spoke with an "engineer" and they said the hole should be in the frame and everything should fit but I assued them on mine it didn't. After messing around with the stock hangers from the original kit that the directions said wouldnt fit, I found they did fit perfectly and just used them instead. Banks ended up giving me a RGA to return the special hangers that at least my truck couldnt use.

Looks good Question though, if you didn't use the banks muffler and straight piped it, wouldn't the sound be the same as other straight pipe or does something in the banks kit change it. (Not try to sound like an A$$ just curious )

Nice!

Are those tips round, or is it just the way the pic is taken that makes them look like they have a slight oval?

In any case they look good!
